SEMO BASEBALL PITCHING LEAGUE (DECEMBER SESSION)

HOSTED BY SEMO PITCHING COACH, MATTHEW KINNEY.

FOR ANY HIGH-LEVEL BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL PLAYER, THE ABILITY TO THROW WITH VELOCITY AND ACCURACY, WHILE MAINTAINING ARM HEALTH IS INTEGRAL.

THROUGH THIS FOUR WEEK PROGRAM, COACH KINNEY WILL TEACH YOUR CHILD THE ART OF THROWING BY GIVING THEM SPECIFIC TOOLS AND RESOURCES TO IMPROVE THEIR THROWING VELOCITY, ACCURACY, AND ARM HEALTH.

ULTIMATELY, THE GOAL OF THIS DEVELOPMENTAL LEAGUE IS TO GIVE YOUR CHILD THE KNOWLEDGE AND RESOURCES TO CONTINUE TO IMPROVE ONCE THEY ARE DONE WITH THIS PROGRAM.

• WHO: ANY BASEBALL OR SOFTBALL ATHLETE, GRADES 6^TH – 12^TH… THAT WANTS TO INCREASE THEIR THROWING VELOCITY AND ACCURACY. THIS LEAGUE IS OPEN TO PLAYERS AT ALL POSITIONS, NOT JUST PITCHERS. THERE ARE ONLY 8 TOTAL SLOTS AVAILABLE FOR EACH SESSION.

• WHEN: MONDAY NIGHTS DECEMBER 1, 8, 15 AND JANUARY 5

• WHERE: CAPAHA PARK

• TIME: 1 HOUR SESSIONS. AFTER REGISTRATION COACH KINNEY WILL REACH OUT TO CONFIRM THE TIME THAT WORKS BEST FOR YOUR CHILD.

THE SCHEDULE WILL BE AS FOLLOWS:

• OPTION 1: 7:00PM – 8:00PM
• OPTION 2: 8:00PM – 9:00PM

January Prospect Camp

When: Sunday, January 18^th. Morning registration begins at 8:30am…Camp starts at 9am. Afternoon registration begins at 12:30pm…Camp starts at 1:00pm

Where: Indoors at the SEMO Student Recreation Center, 750 New Madrid St, Cape Girardeau, MO 63701

Who: This camp is open to any and all High School baseball players. Registration is limited to 45 players per session.

Cost: $175

Waiver Information

Each player is required to have a medical waiver form completed by a parent before they can participate in camp.

Please send medical forms to Chance Resetich at cjresetich@semo.edu or you can bring a copy at registration.

YOUR CHILD CANNOT PARTICIPATE UNTIL FORM IS SIGNED AND RETURNED!

 Check-In: The Morning Session will have check-in from 8:30-9am. The afternoon session will have check-in from 12:30-1pm.

Camp Schedule: Players will be able to interact with and receive instruction from the SEMO coaching staff and players. The camp will include instruction and evaluation in the following areas: 60 yard dash, defense, hitting, and pitching. Pitchers will specifically have the opportunity to throw a bullpen on Trackman. Hitters will have the opportunity to hit on HitTrax.   

What to Bring: All Campers are required to bring their own baseball equipment. This includes: a glove, bat, helmet, baseball pants, belt, running shoes/turf shoes, hat, and any other equipment that is necessary to participate and compete. Catchers must bring their own gear.

Bring tennis/turf shoes. Metal spikes will not be allowed.

Please label all of your gear. SEMO is not liable for the theft or loss of any Camper’s property.

Hotel: Players traveling from out of town will be responsible for securing their own hotel accommodations.
